LAUNCH OF HMC REPORT
HMC launched its first ever term Report on the 30th January 2009. Although this Report is not a statutory requirement for HMC, Council felt that a report should be available to the public in the interests of openness and transparency. The Report is now available. HMC 1st Report (pdf 2,279kb)

'PUBLIC APPOINTMENTS’- MEMBER OF THE HISTORIC BUILDINGS COUNCIL.
The Department of the Environment is seeking to fill the positions of Members of the Historic Buildings Council (HBC).The term of the appointments are for three years from 1 March 2010 with the possibility of reappointment for a second term, subject to performance and conduct.
HBC advises the Department of the Environment on the preservation of buildings and areas of special architectural or historic interest.
It is expected that there will be at least eight vacancies for candidates with an interest in the preservation of buildings for which no specific qualifications are necessary. In addition the Department is seeking to appoint three qualified architects.
Appointment is for 3 years with the possibility of reappointment for a second term, subject to performance and conduct. Membership does not attract a salary; however reasonable travel and other expenses are reimbursed at standard Civil Service rates.
