MeetingsThe Council normally meets on a bi-monthly basis with additional ad hoc meetings to consider specific policy issues and additions to scheduled lists. In addition to Council's main meetings HMC uses a number of sub-groups who meet on an ad hoc basis to deal with consultation papers from Government. A number of HMC members also contribute to the Joint Committee for Industrial Heritage. A member of Council sits on the Lower Bann Advisory Committee which deals with various aspects of this inland waterway, including those areas of archaeology and industrial heritage associated with the river. From time to time the 3 Statutory Advisory Councils to the Department of the Environment i.e. Council for Nature Conservation and the Countryside, Historic Buildings Council and Historic Monuments Council take part in joint meetings to consider areas of mutual interest. |
