Sub Groups

Council assigns a number of Sub-Groups who meet on an ad hoc basis and respond to consultation papers from Government. These may be viewed under consultations Opens new window. Council participates in a number of other sub-groups and committees within EHS which consider specific aspects of the built heritage. Currently some of these are :

  • Joint Committee for Industrial Heritage (JCIH)
  • Archaeological Research Group

On occasions a representative of Council will be asked to sit on other sub-groups outside the Department. For example, the Chairs of the Statutory Advisory Councils participate in DCAL's Heritage Sub-Group which was recommended as a result of the joint review of local Museums and heritage undertaken by the DOE and DCAL.
