Archaeological Research Group

Council established this sub-group in 2004 to find a way forward for improved co-ordination for archaeological research in NI. Part of the remit of this Group was to identify the problems associated with developing a process which could be applied across the board. Council initially involved a number of stakeholders to participate in this Group. A number of meetings have taken place and Council continues to investigate the feasibility of a co-ordinated approach, and is shortly to release a position statement on this important aspect of our heritage.
